The US-Taiwan Business Council serves as a portal to Taiwan, as our network of relationships gives our members access to people and information to help them succeed in their Taiwan endeavors. Serving as an effective representative in dealing with business, trade, and investment matters, the Council comprises a large network of companies involved in business between Taiwan and the United States.
The Council was established in 1976, and rapidly took on an important role in developing trade and business relationships between the US and the Republic of China on Taiwan. The Council was heavily involved in all aspects of the drafting and passing of the Taiwan Relations Act (of April 1979), and it is recognized by the US and Taiwan governments and business leaders as the most important private organization in the entire range of unofficial relations between the US and Taiwan. |
