The Global Information Group is an independent organisation, which was newly formed in mid 1999. This was in response to satisfying more fully the requirement of business professionals who use the web to locate information.

Endless streams of data on the World Wide Web have instigated many attempts at organising it for effective retrieval. However the larger the web becomes, the larger the problem of locating information gets. Relevant sites therefore risk being lost in 'cyber space', and the recipient ends up feeling frustrated in attempts to retrieve data after some considerable time, and at some considerable cost.
We felt that this presented our opportunity, as the needs within the niche of information retrieval for businesses are not being effectively satisfied. Our objective is to present to customers an alternative solution.
Our Solution
Our solution looks towards the most effective way of locating and categorising data and Internet links. Simple concepts are often the best and we have focused on the following:
The clearfacts database contains (but is not limited to), links to free information on the Internet, which traditionally, are normally charged for. For example research & statistics, sales leads etc.
We constantly add and develop the clearfacts database to include new sites. Ongoing research will increase and update the links for the best information
We accurately target a description of the site matched to its content. This work is carefully performed by our researchers who develop all of our lists.
All sites are continuously tested to ensure accessibility to all database links.
We are selective in the sites we choose. There is little benefit in adding sites which are just there to sell a product - if information is what you are looking for.
