We're a new organization. GETA was created and established by Robert J. Pisani, a Customs and International Trade Law Partner in the law firm of Katten Muchin Zavis Rosenman. GETA's inaugural event was our December 2000, Symposium in Washington, D.C. followed by our second Symposium in San Francisco in April 2001. We are established as an incorporated non-profit association. GETA's first chairman is Vastera executive George Weise (former Commissioner of the U.S. Customs Service).
